Harry Redknapp will work with the Central Coast Mariners as a recruitment consultant next season.

The A-League club made the announcement on Friday when they held their end-of-season awards night.

Former Portsmouth, QPR and Tottenham coach Redknapp was recently in Australia as part of a two-game spell in charge of Jordan, who the Socceroos beat 5-1 in Sydney.

Midfielder Liam Rose received the Mariners Medal as the club's best player - as voted by his teammates - for the 2015-16 season.

Central Coast picked up the A-League wooden spoon with just three wins in 27 games.
