European Cup winner Luis Garcia has touched down in Australia hoping to make his A-League debut for Central Coast as early as this weekend against Western Sydney.
The 37-year-old former Liverpool star and Spain international has not played competitive football in more than a year and will have only one training session in Gosford before they host the Wanderers at Central Coast Stadium on Saturday night.
"I don't get crazy, don't try to think that I'm 25 anymore. I'm not. But I feel very good, and I'm confident that I can give things to the team," Garcia said on Thursday after arriving at Sydney airport to cheers from Mariners fans.
